WeekMate HR Elevate 2.0

The 2025 year-end edition of WeekMate HR Elevate took place on 13th December and marked the second session in the HR Elevate series. HR Elevate 2.0 focused on leadership realities, negotiation at work, and the everyday challenges HR teams deal with while managing people and business expectations.

The session brought together HR professionals from different backgrounds who shared a common interest in understanding how leadership behavior and communication play a role in workplace outcomes. The discussions revolved around real situations that HR teams face regularly, rather than fixed frameworks or models.

Topics discussed during the session

1. HR challenges in modern organizations

The session opened with a discussion around current HR challenges, including:

  • Handling changing employee expectations
  • Managing multi-generational teams
  • Balancing organizational goals with employee needs
  • Dealing with complex workplace situations

Participants shared how HR roles have evolved over time and how responsibilities now extend across operations, employee relations, and leadership support.

2. Leadership and people management

Leadership formed a core part of the discussion. The focus stayed on how leadership behavior affects teams on a daily basis. Conversations covered areas such as:

Speaker sessions

The December session also featured experienced HR leaders who shared insights from their professional journeys.

Muraleedharan P. spoke about HR challenges, leadership, and negotiation skills. With over 30 years of experience in HR leadership, he discussed how HR teams can approach modern workplace issues with structured thinking and practical decision-making.

Nehal Jani, having 15 years of experience in HR leadership, spoke about retention and engagement in the workplace. She also shared perspectives on people policies, workplace practices, and how HR teams influence employee experiences through everyday actions.

Both speakers focused on real workplace scenarios and shared practical viewpoints based on years of experience.

WeekMate HRMS & Payroll Platform Introduction

During the December HR Elevate session, the WeekMate team also introduced participants to the WeekMate HRMS & Payroll platform, giving an overview of how the system supports everyday HR operations.

The session closed with open conversations between participants and speakers, where topics from the day continued in smaller groups. Many stayed back to talk about leadership roles, HR responsibilities, and situations they face in their own organisations.

The December edition added another layer to the HR Elevate series, keeping the focus on real leadership experiences and everyday people management.
